Bought some emblems dirt cheap (CBA to farm them), found a bunch more on my way there. 10 gifts later, I have a few more title points and a few summoning stones. Meh.

I used my Monk for the first time in two years. Though I only logged in on her to see if she had any DOE in her inventory. Turns out I used those during Wintersday. ^_^;

I ran a WvK build on my warrior. And had a good laugh at expense of all the blinding surge skeles. Net a total of 40 emblems in 1 run. Downside of this weeks item is that there is no money to be made out of them. Full set sells for 2-3k so its not advisable to farm them.

This was easy for me this week
I had a stack that I was going to turn to gifts during a past event forgot about it. Well I got my gifts and intern sold the balance for 15 qty @ 1 k a set because I am nice and I sold them all in about 30 minutes
For next week let’s see Bone charms or kraken eyes or shells oh boy I farm the jade sea too much.

Logged in, instantly bought 45 emblems for 4.5K, for my 3 accounts. Found another 6 on the 2 separate speed-runs to Nick (1 account in tow).
Loved it this week, only about 10 minutes total work involved.
FWIW, saving all my presents, as my own personal ectos!

No to undead bones. He'll be in an explorable, not a dungeon.

That doesn't mean he can't collect them. :P He's collected Chromatic Scales, and while those drakes can be found in Arbor Bay, they're much easier to farm in the Battledepths.

Do people not care about Nick as much as they used to? When he first started appearing, people would find his location in 15-20 minutes. Now its taking over an hour for people to find him. Are less people searching for him now?

True enough. I just looked up the previous items he has requested and see Gloom Seed, for example, and they're not in an 'explorable' per se.

Is it possible for him to wander into someplace like the ooze pit (standing right next to Bellyshaker and wanting blobs of ooze of course)?

Remember he collected gloom seeds, so undead bones are possible.

Absolutely...I remember that trip to FoW (an Elite Area)...so it is possible Nicholas will want things from anywhere including a dungeon.

I don't think that Nicholas will actually be located in a dungeon or an elite area...but he might require a collectible from any of those areas.
With the Gloom Seeds (only found in the Fissure of Woe Elite Area), Nicholas was actually located in The Falls...not in the FoW. So he might ask for Blobs of Ooze or Undead Bones but he won't be in the location where they are found.
I don't put anything past ArenaNet when they decide on Nicholas requirements each week. But historically, Nicholas locations have only been in regular explorable areas.
